Good things come in pairs, and to prove this point, therobsta provides us with another two mixsets. Perfectly mixed, these sets sit somewhere between the disco-house and the electro-house of Rob’s previous two sets (though after listening to these sets, I would say that they edge closer to the electro side of the spectrum). As always with therobsta, you find yourself taken on a musical journey which is full of surprises. The thing I enjoy about these sets is that they are not predictable. Rob creates a groove, while also managing to throw in a few surprises and variation in rhythm. This is what DJ’ing is all about.

Next Saturday night, invite people over…have a house party and play these mixsets. Guaranteed to make your people move.

As we head into the month of June, therobsta is back with 2 new mixsets. These sets represent extremes at both ends of the “house” sound. The first set, “Housefly”, sits at the clean sounding vocal house end of the spectrum, while the second set, “ElectroCity”, sits at the other end and contains the best of the dirty vibrating electrohouse sounds. I enjoyed the progression in both these sets. They have a well defined starting point and take you on a musical journey which builds up to a perfect finishing point.

“Housefly” is a perfect pre-party set, to get you in the mood and start the crowd moving. “ElectroCity” should bust out midway through the night when the crowd is ready to get serious.

Thanks for the sets Rob.
