After a long wait we are now happy to have two brand new mixes from Robsta. These mixes reflect Rob’s ongoing commitment to seeking out the best in house, electro, and progressive house. Wonderful track selection perfects these sets, and the overall journey has a sense of purpose. The progressive sound is nicely augmented with sweet, soulful vocals. Rob now uses Serato in both live and pre-recorded situations. As a long term supporter of Vinyl and Turntables, Rob mixes with Serato control Vinyl, rather than CDs. There is certainly a nice feel to vinyl, both for the DJ and for the audience. Its good to see turntables still being used to make awesome mixsets.

Something different for this set. I start with a few nice, soulful house tracks with a wonderful laid back sound. What a nice introduction to the set. These tunes lure you into the set with sweet soulful vocals and catchy bassline hooks.
The set journeys slowly into more upbeat rhythms until we reach the realm of discohouse. We continue with good lush discohouse beats right up to the end of the set. I enjoyed this journey, and I hope you do too. A good late afternoon set to warm up towards a night on the town.
