This 114 minute mixed set from David Morales is hosted on UndergroundNYC. David Morales is, of course, one of the BIG names in house music. I thought it would be nice to end 2005 with the most current recorded set that I could find. This set was recorded live on KTU radio on December 24th, and although it was recorded in a radio station studio you can’t help but to feel like its a set from a club. Often radio mixes don’t have the same club feel to them, but in this case Morales gives us a good club set.

This is a dance set featuring a range of tracks that have been popular throughout the year. David Morales has an ability to build a party atmosphere in a pleasingly predictable, yet surprising way. I know it sounds contradictory to say “predictable” and “surprising”. My point is that as you listen, you can anticipate where the mix is going. However Morales drops in some nice surprises which keeps you guessing.
